Cheryl's Pre-Wedding Events

My sweet friend Cheryl got married on July 9th.  From dress shopping to the bridal portrait, from the bachelorette to her shower, from the dress fitting to flower arranging for the reception centerpieces, I had so much fun being involved in so much of the process as Cheryl prepared and planned to marry Sky.  I was honored to walk alongside her during this time and to be a part of many events leading up to her big day.  

Cheryl asked me to join her for her bridal portrait to assist with changing (especially because the facilities (i.e. public restroom) at Maymont are less than ideal (small and not clean!)) and just to be along to help.  I, of course, brought my camera along (just in case!).  Much to my delight, her photographer did not mind me snapping away from the sidelines.

This photo does not exactly give an accurate picture of what we were experiencing. A storm had been brewing and lightning was starting to strike close at this point. We were getting quite nervous, but, of course, that didn't keep us from getting in a few more shots before wrapping up. :)
