Actually, the title isn't accurate, but it sounded better. We actually had our day on the bay on June 1st...just one day off!
Steve and Kathi are good friends of the family and boat trip co-adventurers. We have been on multiple trips with them and they always make for a great time. They previously had an identical boat to my parents but recently made a big upgrade. They invited Dad, Mom, Ted & I out with them for the maiden voyage. It's quite the boat to maneuver so I'm sure it was nice to have a couple extra hands on deck. We rode from Hampton across the Bay over to Cape Charles on the eastern shore. Bay Creek Marina (different name now), which has been one of our "stops" on past boat trips, was our destination for a late lunch.
